Yogi Dave

Yogi Parker

Yoga/Yogi Dave (Parker is my dog)

I have been teaching yoga since 1999 and teaching yoga at LTRC since 2004. I received my 200 hour certificate in 2002 from the Ahimsa Yoga Center in Baltimore and I recieved my 300 hour certificate in 2023 from the Integra Yoga Institute where I focused my studies on, Adaptive Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Meditation. I also have a second 200 hour certificate from the Westchester Academy of Yoga in NY which I received in 2021 to study under a student of Tao Porchon-Lynch, Renee Diamond. Since I have over 1,000 hours (actually over 4,000 hours) teaching yoga, the Yoga Alliance which I am a member of considers me to be an Experianced-Registered Yoga Teacher. I still feel like I have so much to learn and I love taking classes to learn new things which I can share.

I can’t even begin to explain how big of an impact a yoga practice has made in my life. I love the practice and love to share my practice with whomever wants to join me. To be honest I don’t know why yoga makes me feel so good. I only know that when I practice the quality of my life is better and I am happier. When I don’t it’s not. It's that simple.

I like this quote, “Yoga and it’s benefits are accessible to anyone.  That is, anyone that has the discipline to practice.”

And it does take practice and discipline.
